Overview
The LE headphones, priced at around $480, offer a brilliant upgrade with beautiful wood cups, high-quality cable, and refined sound through the APE-03 frequency filter. They are limited to 40 units worldwide, making them truly exclusive.
The design and comfort of the LEs are similar to the stock FA-011s, with a sprung headband and rubber-clad metal bands. However, the thinner velour earpads may cause discomfort, but this can be easily solved with replacement earpads from the stock FA-011s.
The sound of the LEs is described as aggressive and "in-your-face" without being obnoxious or fatiguing. They offer outstanding bass, resolving and detailed top end, and realistic, smooth mids. While the soundstage is relatively small, the LEs excel in handling a wide range of music genres. However, some acoustic guitar tracks may exhibit a slight glassy edge.
